British yarn from the Bluefaced Leicester breed. Bright yellow and golden shades dyed with onion skins and fustic (and no, the wool doesn't smell of onions!). The results from the humble onion are amazing, and the dyebath can be used at least twice to obtain yellows after the initial golden orange colours have been achieved. Fustic comes from the heartwood of the fustic tree, a popular yellow dye before the advent of synthetic dyes.
